A few illustrations I did from my previous project. The designs are inspired from two opposing characters of form and shape to find that balance or equilibrium. It was the linear pleats contrasting the soft drape that moves across the silhouette that became the focal point of my designs.
Print Placement for Taganahan S/S 15 Collection
I came across one of Margaret Howell’s S/S 13 designs on the catwalk and really loved her design aesthetic. It was straight forward elegant and comfortable design for everyday living. These are a couple of illustrations i did from that collection.
All day I’ve been sketching thinking about my print designs. This is the final illustration of the few designs I’ve done. Now off to finish my final boards! 🙂
Follow-up sketch on the print designs I’m currently working on
My second day of sketching. Designing a few simple silhouettes here to see where my design direction is going. I love the idea of these trouser-skirts for a summer collection. I feel putting in some lightweight printed fabrics will compliment nicely to these designs. More things to develop..
So, I figured to make another quick sketch for today–adding a few elements in digitally to see what I could develop–shape, silhouette and print design.
